  • Background
    • Background

The P46 protein of Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae is an immunogenic surface-associated protein involved in host–pathogen interactions. Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae is the causative agent of enzootic pneumonia in pigs, leading to significant economic losses in the swine industry. The P46 protein is commonly used as a diagnostic antigen for serological detection and antibody response monitoring. Due to its strong immunogenicity, recombinant P46 is widely applied in ELISA development, vaccine research, and studies of bacterial pathogenesis and host immune responses.
