Background
ROBO1 (Roundabout homolog 1) is a transmembrane receptor in the immunoglobulin superfamily that plays a key role in axon guidance, neural development, and cell migration. It interacts with SLIT proteins to regulate neuronal pathway formation and has been implicated in cancer progression and metastasis. ROBO1 is also studied for its role in organogenesis and tissue patterning, making it an important target in neuroscience and oncology research.
