    • Background

Mouse CD1d is a non-polymorphic, MHC class I-like molecule that plays a critical role in the immune system by presenting lipid antigens to a unique subset of T cells known as invariant natural killer T (iNKT) cells. This interaction is crucial for initiating immune responses against certain pathogens and in modulating immune regulation. The Mouse CD1d protein, when expressed in CHO (Chinese Hamster Ovary) cells, is often tagged with a His (histidine) tag to aid in its purification and detection during research studies. This recombinant CD1d-His fusion protein is widely used in immunological research, particularly in studies investigating the role of iNKT cells in immune responses, autoimmune diseases, and cancer immunotherapy.
