  • Background
    • Background

Human Sclerostin is a glycoprotein primarily expressed by osteocytes and plays a key role in regulating bone formation by inhibiting the Wnt signaling pathway, which is crucial for bone growth. Sclerostin acts as a negative regulator of bone mass, and its activity is of significant interest in research related to osteoporosis and other bone-related disorders. The Human Sclerostin protein, when expressed in CHO (Chinese Hamster Ovary) cells, is often tagged with a His (histidine) tag, facilitating its purification and detection in research applications. This recombinant Sclerostin-His fusion protein is commonly used in studies aimed at understanding bone metabolism and developing therapeutic strategies for enhancing bone formation.

  • Instruction
    • Reconstitution

It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized protein in sterile H₂O to a concentration of 200 μg/mL and incubate the stock solution for at least 20 min to ensure sufficient re-dissolved.

      Shipping

The product is shipped with polar packs. Upon receipt, store it immediately at -20°C or lower for long term storage.

    • Stability & Storage

This product is stable after storage at:

      • -20°C for 12 months in lyophilized state from date of receipt.
      • -20°C or -80°C for 1 month under sterile conditions after reconstitution.

      Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
