Description
The cytokine IFN gamma could protect cells from viral infections and belongs to the family of interferons. A lot of studies have shown that IFN gamma secreted by antigen triggered cell types, including T cells, naive CD4+ T cells, macrophages, dendritic cells, and B cells. IFN gamma plays an important role to trigger the macrophage act against a diverse group of microbial targets, and the pleiotropic molecule associated with antiproliferative, pro-apoptotic and antitumor mechanisms. Based on the effector cytokine considered as a major effector of immunity, it has been used in the treatment of several diseases.
Test Principle
Human IFN Gamma ELISA kit is used to detect IFN Gamma in samples by sandwich ELISA method. This assay uses microplate pre-coated with mouse anti-human IFN gamma monoclonal antibody to the solid phase. Human IFN Gamma in the sample conjugates on solid phase and then react with the HRP conjugated mouse anti-human IFN gamma monoclonal antibody. Subsequent wash steps will remove residual unbound antibody. After incubation with substrate solution, the reaction is determined by the absorbance at 450 nm. Quantification of nuclease level is accomplished by comparing the absorbance with standard curve.
