>95% as determined by SDS-PAGE analysis.
The protein has a calculated MW of 22.14 kDa.
The protein migrates as 23 kDa under reducing condition (SDS-PAGE analysis).
Measure by its ability to induce 3T3 cells proliferation. The ED₅₀ for this effect is 1.4-3.8 ng/mL. The specific activity of recombinant human FGF-8b is > 2 x 10⁵ IU/mg.
<0.1 EU per 1 μg of the protein by the LAL method.
Fibroblast Growth Factors-8b (FGF-8b) is a 21.3 kDa member of the fibroblast Growth Factors with 183 amino acid residues. FGF-8 is an important role in the regulation of embryonic development, cell proliferation, cell differentiation and cell migration. In embryogenesis function, FGF8 is necessary in limb, brain, eye and ear formation. FGF-8b having a more potent inductive activity due to higher affinity for Fgf receptors.

Stability & Storage
This product is stable after storage at:
- -20°C for 12 months in lyophilized state from date of receipt.
- -20°C or -80°C for 1 month under sterile conditions after reconstitution.
Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Human FGF-8b, His Tag, E. coli (LDG074PHE) induced 3T3 cell proliferation, with the ED50 at 3.51 ng/mL.
