Species of Origin
His Tag (C-term)
Lyophilized from a 0.2 µm filtered solution of PBS, pH 8.0.
>98% as determined by SDS-PAGE analysis.
The protein has a calculated MW of 16.77 kDa.
The protein migrates as 18kDa under reducing condition (SDS-PAGE analysis).
Measure by its ability to induce 3T3 cells proliferation. The ED₅₀ for this effect is <0.3 ng/mL. The specific activity of recombinant human FGF-1 is > 1 x 10⁶ IU/mg.
<0.1 EU per 1 μg of the protein by the LAL method.
Fibroblast Growth Factors-1 (FGF-1) is a Growth Factors of mitogenic peptides which is a 15 kDa protein containing 139 amino acid residues. Fibroblast Growth Factors-1 is secreted by the macrophage which induce endothelial cell proliferation and angiogenesis. During wound injury, fibroblast Growth Factors-1 helps the tissue remodeling. When the fibroblast Growth Factors-1 binds with the FGFR on the cell membrane which is endocytosed by FGFR and induces the cell cycle.

It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized protein in sterile H₂O to a concentration not less than 200 μg/mL and incubate the stock solution for at least 20 min to ensure sufficient re-dissolved.
