  Description

  Glial Fibrillary Acidic Protein (GFAP) is an intermediate filament protein predominantly expressed in astrocytes, a type of glial cell in the central nervous system. GFAP plays a crucial role in maintaining astrocyte structural integrity and supporting neuronal functions. Elevated GFAP levels are associated with neurodegenerative diseases, traumatic brain injuries, and gliomas, making it a key biomarker in neurological research and diagnostics. Anti-GFAP antibodies are widely used in immunohistochemistry, Western blot, and immunofluorescence to detect and study astrocyte activation, brain pathology, and glial cell function.

    Stability & Storage

    This product is stable after storage at:
    ● 2-8°C for 2 weeks under sterile conditions from date of receipt.
    ● -20°C or -80°C for 12 months under sterile conditions from date of receipt.
    Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
    Suggestion: Divide antibody into several vials. Keep only vials for usage at 2-8°C.
