ULP1 protease specifically recognizes the tertiary structure of SUMO rather than an amino acid sequence. ULP1 protease has a His-tag for easy removal from a cleavage reaction by using nickel affinity resins. Notably, the cleavage reactions are available in a buffer containing 2 M urea.

Description:Protein A is a membrane protein found in the cell wall of Staphylococcus aureus. Protein A contains four binding sites with a high affinity to human IgG, rabbit IgG and others and is therefore suitable for immunoprecipitation assay and purification of immunoglobulins. Protein G is a surface protein found in the cell wall of Streptococcal bacteria. Protein G has a high affinity to human IgG, mouse IgG, and others and is, therefore, suitable for purifying and detecting immunoglobulins. Protein A/G has broader binding ability than either Protein A or G alone. Protein A/G is a great tool for the purification and detection of all humans, rabbit, and mouse IgG subclasses, IgA, IgE, and IgM without interference from these other serum proteins.

It is an efficient technique for isolating recombinant proteins or mammalian expression proteins. The DYKDDDDK epitope system relies on the peptide (N-Asp-Tyr-Lys-Asp-Asp-Asp-Asp-Lys-C), which is able to react with N- and C- terminal DYKDDDDK tagged fusion proteins and may be used for the immunoprecipitation or immune affinity purification. The purified antibody is immobilized at 3-5 mg antibody per mL of 50% slurry and this kit allows a rapid and efficient affinity purification of active DYKDDDDK fusion proteins. The affinity resin allows an efficient binding of DYKDDDDK fusion proteins without the need for preliminary steps and calibrations. The affinity bound DYKDDDDK fusion proteins can be efficiently eluted from the resin by acid condition. The eluted proteins can be used for characteristic analysis.
