Description
Trypsin is a serine protease that cleaves peptide bonds on the C-terminal side of lysine and arginine residues. This recombinant form, expressed in E. coli, has enzymatic properties identical to native porcine trypsin but is free of animal-derived components. It provides stable enzymatic activity and is a suitable alternative to animal-derived trypsin for applications including cell culture, cell therapy, immunotherapy, drug screening, antibody development, and other biotechnological processes.
Product Note
- Recombinant trypsin is active within a pH range of 7.0–11.0.
- Enzyme activity is inhibited by serine protease inhibitors (e.g., PMSF) and metal chelators (e.g., EDTA).
