Background
Transforming Growth Factor beta 1 (TGF-β1) is a multifunctional cytokine that plays critical roles in regulating a wide array of cellular processes, including cell growth, proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, and immune responses. It is involved in tissue homeostasis, wound healing, and embryogenesis. Dysregulation of TGF-β1 signaling is implicated in various diseases, including cancer, fibrosis, and autoimmune disorders. Therefore, TGF-β1 is widely used in inflammation, cancer, and fibrosis-related research.
