  • Background
    • Background

Human Lipoprotein(a) [Lp(a)] is a low-density lipoprotein–like particle composed of apolipoprotein(a) [Apo(a)] covalently linked to apolipoprotein B-100. Variants containing specific kringle IV (KIV) domains, such as KIV9-10, are used to study structure–function relationships, genetic polymorphisms, and cardiovascular risk. Elevated Lp(a) levels are strongly associated with atherosclerosis, coronary artery disease, and thrombosis. Recombinant fragments provide valuable tools for cardiovascular research and diagnostic development.

      Synonyms

      Lp(a), Apolipoprotein(a), Apo(a), Lipoprotein little a, Kringle IV-9/10 fragment, Apo(a) KIV variant, Lipoprotein(a) isoform, Cardiovascular risk factor Lp(a), KIV9-10, LPA

  • Instruction
    • Reconstitution

It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized protein in sterile H₂O to a concentration of 200 μg/mL and incubate the stock solution for at least 20 min to ensure sufficient re-dissolved.

      Shipping

The product is shipped with polar packs. Upon receipt, store it immediately at -20°C or lower for long term storage.

    • Stability & Storage

This product is stable after storage at:

      • -20°C for 12 months in lyophilized state from date of receipt.
      • -20°C or -80°C for 1 month under sterile conditions after reconstitution.

      Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
