Lyophilized from a 0.2 µm filtered solution of PBS, pH 8.0.
>98% as determined by SDS-PAGE analysis.
The protein has a calculated MW of 17.98 kDa.
The protein migrates as 17 kDa under reducing condition (SDS-PAGE analysis).
Measure by its ability to induce IL-8 secretion in human PBMCs. The ED₅₀ for this effect is <0.5 ng/mL.
<0.1 EU per 1 μg of the protein by the LAL method.
BAFF also known as BLYS, TALL-1 and TNFSF13B, which belongs to tumor necrosis factor family. BAFF is a 31.2 kDa type II transmembrane protein containing 285 residues that predominantly produced by myeloid cells. BAFF has been demonstrated to activate the survival of B-cells and the B-cell response by binding to BAFFR/BR3. Additionally, BAFF also takes part in regulating B and T cell function via forming two ligands-two receptors pathway through sharing TNFRSF13B/TACI and TNFRSF17/BCMA receptors with APRIL.

It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized protein in sterile H₂O to a concentration not less than 200 μg/mL and incubate the stock solution for at least 20 min to ensure sufficient re-dissolved.
The product is shipped with polar packs. Upon receipt, store it immediately at -20°C or lower for long term storage.
Stability & Storage
This product is stable after storage at:
- -20°C for 12 months in lyophilized state from date of receipt.
- -20°C or -80°C for 1 month under sterile conditions after reconstitution.
Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Human BAFF, His Tag, E. coli (LDG128PHE) induced IL-8 secretion in human PBMCs, with the ED50 at 0.4031 ng/mL.
