Description
Anti-Lipoprotein(a) Antibody is a rabbit polyclonal antibody that recognizes human lipoprotein(a) (Lp(a)). Lipoprotein(a) is a unique lipoprotein particle similar to low-density lipoprotein (LDL), but it contains an additional protein called apolipoprotein(a) (apo(a)) that's covalently linked to apolipoprotein B-100 (apoB-100). The concentration of Lp(a) in the blood is primarily determined by genetics and has been linked to an increased risk of atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease.
