    Nipah virus is a highly dangerous zoonotic pathogen primarily prevalent in South and Southeast Asia, posing a significant threat to global public health. Fruit bats of the genus Pteropus serve as the primary natural host of the virus. Humans infection can occur through the consumption of contaminated food, direct contact with the bodily fluids of infected animals , or human-to-human transmission. The clinical presentation of Nipah virus infection range from asymptomatic cases to severe respiratory and neurological manifestations, including fatal encephalitis. Due to its high mortality rate and potential for localized outbreaks, early and accurate diagnosis is crucial for outbreak control.
