A striking brand transformation has arrived! CYTENA BPS, a company specializing in bioprocess technologies, has officially announced its new name—Leadgene Biosolutions—symbolizing its separation from Sweden’s BICO Group and full integration into the Taiwanese biotech leader Leadgene Biomedical.
Leadgene Biomedical has long been dedicated to the development of recombinant proteins, antibodies, and diagnostic reagents, with well-established capabilities in integrated CRO and CDMO services. This consolidation brings together the strengths of both entities to deliver comprehensive bioprocess products, solutions, and technical services for both academic research and industrial applications.
This powerful alliance not only solidifies a clear strategic direction but also opens doors to new global opportunities in the fields of bioprocessing and cell research. Leadgene Biosolutions emphasized that it will continue to refine its core proprietary technologies, including the S.NEST®, C.NEST®, and C.BIRD™ miniature bioreactor systems. These platforms are currently the only solutions on the market offering high-throughput 24-well and 96-well culture capabilities with fully adjustable mixing, as well as integrated real-time monitoring of dissolved oxygen (DO), pH, oxygen consumption rate (OCR), and extracellular acidification rate (ECAR). These forward-looking technologies serve as the foundation for the company’s long-term development. Moving ahead, Leadgene Biosolutions will also expand its product lines and application scope to support a wider range of bioprocessing workflows and long-term cell metabolism studies.
Regarding the rebranding, Dr. Cheng-Han (Charles) Tsai, CEO of Leadgene Biosolutions, stated: "With the strong technical support and abundant resources from Leadgene Biomedical, we now have an unprecedentedly solid foundation to accelerate the realization of our long-term vision."
Dr. Louis Yu-Wei Cheng, CEO of Leadgene Biomedical, added: "By leveraging the group’s global market strategy and the complementary technological strengths of both sides, we will be able to significantly accelerate innovation and broaden application support for our clients."
To safeguard customer interests, Leadgene Biosolutions confirmed that all existing contracts, instrument demonstrations, warranty terms, and customer support services will remain valid and unaffected throughout and after the transition period. Brand identity updates—such as documentation, product packaging, the official website, and distributor materials—will be rolled out progressively to ensure a seamless experience for all partners and users.
