  Beschreibung

  CD63, also known as CD63 molecule, is a transmembrane protein encoded by the CD63 gene. It belongs to the transmembrane 4 superfamily, commonly known as the tetraspanin family. Tetraspanins are characterized by four hydrophobic domains and play crucial roles in cell development, activation, growth, and motility[5]. CD63 is mainly associated with the membranes of intracellular vesicles, but it can also be induced to express on the cell surface. Overall, CD63 plays essential roles in cellular physiology and provides valuable insights into various biological processes, making it a subject of interest in scientific research and medical applications.
