Human Respiratory Syncytial Virus B (RSV-B) is a type of virus that causes respiratory infections in humans, particularly in young children and the elderly. One of the key components of the virus is the Fusion Glycoprotein F0, which plays a critical role in the virus's ability to enter and infect cells. The Fusion Glycoprotein F0 is initially synthesized as a precursor protein, known as F0, which is then cleaved into two subunits, F1 and F2. These subunits then combine to form the functional protein, which is responsible for mediating the fusion of the virus with host cells. The Fusion Glycoprotein F0 is a major target for the development of vaccines and antiviral therapies against RSV-B, as it is essential for the virus's infectivity. Studies have shown that antibodies targeting the F0 protein can effectively neutralize the virus and prevent infection.
It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized protein in sterile H₂O to a concentration not less than 200 μg/mL and incubate the stock solution for at least 20 min to ensure sufficient re-dissolved.
The product is shipped with polar packs. Upon receipt, store it immediately at -20°C or lower for long term storage.
Stability & Storage
This product is stable after storage at:
- -20°C for 12 months in lyophilized state from date of receipt.
- -20°C or -80°C for 1 month under sterile conditions after reconstitution.
Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
